Santa Ana PD K-9 Chris #2872 EOW 07-24-2010

K-9 Chris specially trained for protection work as well as tracking suspects and locating evidence. K-9 Chris and his partner Officer McCarthy assisted on hundreds of searches and arrests of violent criminals. K-9 Chris was assigned to patrol and was selected as the full time SWAT K-9. K-9 Chris earned the Chief’s award for the pursuit and capture of a murder suspect in 2005. In addition to his patrol duties K-9 Chris was trained to detect illegal narcotics and assisted in locating several hundreds of kilos of narcotics and thousands of dollars in illegal drug currency. K-9 Chris will be remembered as the fearless K-9 warrior who proudly served The City of Santa Ana and will continue to guard us in Spirit forever.
